Ornaments
Both City Hall and band stand ornaments can be purchased ($15.00 each or 2/$25.00) in Lake City at the Antique Shopper, Mississippi Mercantile, Treats and Treasures, and the Lake Pepin Pearl Button Co. If you wish to receive them by mail please make your check or money order payable to the Lake City Historical Society, PO Box 246, Lake City, MN 55041. Please include $2 s&h for each ornament.
The above image of the Patton Park band stand was used to create our latest ornament, pictured below.
The band stand was originally built just east of the Lake City City Hall in 1909. Since concerts were becoming very popular is was moved to spacious Oaklyn Park, later named Patton Park, in 1929
